Ragini MMS 2 is set to hit the theaters next year in March and will star Sunny Leone. It is to be a sequel to the original Ragini MMS, and reportedly will be “scarier and steamier”. When Ragini MMS released in 2011 it was considered something of a novelty in Bollywood – firstly the horror-thriller genre itself is not common in Bollywood; and this was a genuinely scary film and add to this the film explored the real story of Delhi based Deepika’s MMS case. The dim lighting, grainy video and handheld camera effect – again very unusual for Bollywood, created even more of an impact. Made on a shoestring budget of Rs 1.3 crore, the movie was a surprise hit raking in over 9 crores at the box office and was described as “daunting, imaginative, unconventional, terrifying” .

While Ragini MMS was supposed to have been India’s first sensual paranormal thriller, Ragini MMS 2 is to be India’s first Erotica Horror film – which explains the casting of Sunny Leone in the lead and the repeated punning on the word coming/cumming (where do you wanna cum –your place or mine and so on) on the posters and the Facebook photos of the film. The story will be a continuation from where the first film left off. This sequel is also to be based on a true story though the scale of the film will be bigger than the first one – full of sensuality and presumably several intimate scenes as suggested by the steamy shower scene in the trailer.

According to the Ragini MMS 2 website, Sunny Leone – the Indo-Canadian porn actress is to pay herself in the film. This is to be her second Bollywood outing after Jism 2. Also according to the movie website, the lead actress asked for and will be paid Rs 1 crore for her role in the film. Another USP of the film will be a liplock between the two female actors in the film – reportedly Sunny Leone will be seen to share an on- screen kiss with Sandhya Mridul. Earlier Neetu Chandra was to have done Mridul’s role; but when she refused to do the kiss with her co-star, gutsy Mridul was roped in as a replacement.

The Ramsay Brothers genre of films – with their laughable ‘special’ effects and tacky ‘monsters’ is a thing of the past. Horror originating from Bollywood is now slick, scary and sensual – Ragini MMS 2 will by all accounts be titillating but will also be genuinely horrifying.

Rumour mills say that Andrea Jeremiah demanded Rs 25 lakhs to do an item number in the forthcoming Tamil movie Bramman. The producers were shocked to hear such an amount and reluctant to pay her the price. 

The singer-turned-actress reportedly told them that she could not do the song for the amount that they offered and claimed that now she was a full-time actress. As the talks were not going anywhere, she brought her intelligence to the business and offered them a deal, which could not be rejected by the makers of the film. Andrea Jeremiah told them that she would sing as well as dance for the item number if they pay her Rs 25 lakhs.

 It was be a win-win situation for both the parties and they sealed the deal. However, Andrea Jeremiah, who played the role of second fiddle in Endrendrum Punnagai recently, will be seen in Vishwaroopam 2, Taramani and Aranmani in the coming days
